Made from robin's egg blue Opaline glass from Portieux-Vallerysthal glass company of Vosges, France. This detailed bird shaped lid sits on a nest of twigs with leaves and branches serving as the foot of the bowl. Made in the 1930's, this design was later emulated by American glass companies.

The piece is in very good consition with no cracks or glazing. It has truly withstood the test of time.
